Are you someone friends usually talk with about their concerns or problems? Do you sometimes wonder if you are saying the right things to people or want to know how to respond when people trust you with their thoughts? Join the HS - Peer CITs (Counsellors in Training) Program. This club is to help students learn better ways to listen to friends, to know how to support them through hard times, to talk about real issues facing teens and to understand when and how to get an adult involved. We will meet twice a month as a group on Monday afternoons 3:10-4:10pm (usually the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month) and we will have a Saturday morning training during the year.

It is great to have so many friendly faces back on campus this fall. The school year is off to a great start. I will be checking in with all new MS and HS students individually to talk about how their transition to a new school is going. It allows me to find out a little about each student and to answer questions that may be coming up for them in the first weeks of school.
My schedule: High School Campus Monday - Thursday Middle School Campus Friday, or by appointment. In late September, we will have another counsellor joining the team who will be based full time at the Middle School campus! We look forward to her added support at ISS.
